The Health Action Forum of Prince George’s County advocacy model is anchored in relationship and access. The cornerstone of our advocacy effort is “being present.” We are consistently and actively mobilizing an organizing community stakeholders to be fully engaged in health policy issues. The Forum’s advocacy goal is to bring health care activism to the door step s of our citizens and our elected officials.
The Forum supports a steady and consistent Health Action Campaign that includes:
Regular briefings on health issues with elected and appointed officials;
Lobbying for local, state, and federal health legislation and appropriations;
Member appointments to local, state, and federal commissions and Boards; and
Cultivating relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers throughout the .. .....county.
